Donations

The most obvious way to support is by shopping at Broughton Community Shop and by using the Post Office counter. Every transaction contributes to our trading accounts and, as a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society, after overheads, expenses, reinvestment in the business and maintenance of sufficient cash reserves, any trading surpluses are used for the benefit of the community. Every little helps! And everything counts!

Broughton Community Shop is very pleased to accept monetary donations which can be taken directly through the till via a dedicated key or by contacting the shop on 01794 502495.

And, of course, donations in kind are wonderful too! If you have surplus vegetables in your garden or on your allotment, or a surfeit of dahlias, or your plum tree is laden, please bring the produce into the Shop. We will then display them and ask for donations or a suggested amount which again go into the donation ‘pot’.

Perhaps you have something to sell and would like to give a % of the selling price to the Shop in order to benefit the community? Please talk to the shop manager, or email operations@broughton.shop

And, of course, you may like to support your Community shop by giving your time in some way. Please see the Volunteering section. If volunteering in the Shop isn’t up your street, then perhaps you would like to help behind the scenes? We are always looking for help with all aspects of marketing, administration and other tasks and now we have this wonderful website to keep up-to date!
